The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead technical operations of a key U.S. Army ERP program in Arlington, VA. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively to apply DevOps practices with a technically diverse team is essential.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and lead the technical operations and monitoring of the solution in a DoD environment to improve performance and availability of critical applications and timely resolution of incidents. You will interact with program management, program leads, product development teams, test teams, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, audit, and customer service teams to coordinate operations, release deployment, and maintenance of the system. Additionally, you will:
Support critical end user applications and work in DoD NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments as a team and technology leader
Oversee and support daily systems, services, and interfaces operations in Production and Test environments
Establish, execute and monitor system health checks to confirm system availability
Monitor technical services, scheduled jobs and interfaces for failures, irregularities, and performance issues
Lead team to support critical operational processes 24x7
Collaborate with Product Development, Configuration Management, and Release Management teams to deploy Product releases
Work with Product and Infrastructure Teams to develop and maintain the runbook, standard operating procedures, and processes for disaster recovery
Engage in rapid incident support with Development and Infrastructure team members to communicate and quickly resolve issues and outages
Monitor operations support ticket queue to promote rapid response with internal and external customers
Champion special projects and technical upgrades
Report metrics, assess system data, analyze error logs, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement to service quality
Design and implement continuous improvements in processes and procedures, aided by technology, to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations
Interact with internal and external stakeholders (Program Management, Government Product Support, Help Desk Management and Infrastructure / Data Center POCs, Trading Partner POCs)
Track and meet designated SLAs
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems Management, or related technical field
10 years of experience leading complex DoD system operations
Proven experience with DevOps methodologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter
Active Secret clearance (required)
Desired:
Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Oracle RDBMS, Linux, and batch scheduling tools is highly desired
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages
Experience with cloud technologies and services
Prior experience working with or in support of the Army
Familiarity with Agile and SAFe practices
ITIL v4 certification
Agile and/or DevOps certifications

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
