Information Technician Desktop Support Analyst
IT Desktop Support Analyst Overview of Position: Performs user support, maintenance, training, installation, and project coordination, as required in the support of assigned systems. This position provides daily operational support for end user devices, peripherals and other related desktop technologies that may be used daily and require hands on support. ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1. Install, maintain and repair desktop related equipment and software (PCs, peripherals, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones, scanners, workstation on wheels, standard/nonstandard local software including but not limited to MS Office and outlook). 2. Completes software installation, troubleshooting, and support for all applications. 3. Performs regularly scheduled maintenance on systems to ensure longevity. 4. Develops and maintains documentation for workstation hardware and software installation and support procedures. 5. Provides first level diagnosis for networking, server, and communications systems. 6. Works in conjunction with imaging services contractor to support printers, copiers, faxes and other imaging devices. 7. Uses automated systems and processes like Symantec Client Suite Deployment to increase solution efficiency. 8. Provides on-call support on a rotating basis outside the regular hours of operation. 9. Provides on-site support for partner companies as needed. 10. Subscribes to relevant technology information channels to stay informed of security vulnerabilities. 11. Proactively assesses potential items of risk and opportunities of vulnerability in the network. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Minimum of a two-year college degree. 2. Minimum of two years’ experience with Intel-based personal computer hardware and software including Windows operating systems and associated software and utilities in a Windows Networking environment. 3. A+ certification or relevant certification completed within 1 year of start date. 4. Experience with Windows 10, Apple iSO and Android handheld devices. 5. Experience with TCP/IP, Ethernet and wireless networks. 6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 7. Ability to communicate effectively via telephone and in person when dealing with both internal and external customers/vendors. 8. Experience with Outlook Email System and Office 365 Products.
