Job Title: Information System Security Analyst (ISSA)

Clearance: Secret Clearance with Top Secret eligibility is required 

Location: Ridgecrest, CA @ China Lake Naval Base

We are seeking a skilled Information System Security Analyst to play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and compliance of mission-critical systems. This position requires a proactive individual with experience in cybersecurity assessments, risk management, and system authorization processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including Authorizing Officials (AO), Security Control Assessors (SCA), and Information System Security Managers (ISSM), to manage and maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages.

Responsibilities/Duties: 

Interface with the Authorizing Official (AO) and the Security Control Assessor (SCA) for coordination of Authorization to Operate (ATO) packagesAddress NIST 800-53 family of controls and submit accreditation documentation in eMASSManage multiple system packages throughout the ATO processKeep informed of currently approved standards, codes, and procedures applied to cybersecurity specialtyPerform systems engineering activities in the areas of Cybersecurity / Information Assurance (IA) / System Security Engineering (SSE) and security assessment and authorization (A&A) in accordance with NIST SP 800-53 RMFApply risk management concepts to mitigate vulnerabilities in system security architecturesInterface with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), program managers, system stakeholders, and external contractors to coordinate cybersecurityrequirements and architecture flow down from the system level to individual elements of the systemAssist in preparation of reports, correspondence, or technical studiesObtain a Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) certification (we will sponsor!) Perform other job-related duties as required 

Required Qualifications: 

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical field and degree of applicability4+ years of experience in planning, implementation, upgrading and/or monitoring of security measures on corporate or government computernetworks.6+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar environment4+ years of experience with NIST 800-53 Risk Management Framework (RMF)4+ years of  experience developing RMF based accreditation packages for complex network environmentsExperience with eMASS to submit documentation for ATOsExperience with various cyber security tools such as ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, STIG etc.Secret Clearance with Top Secret eligibility
