Information System Security Engineer

BAE Systems is looking for experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services. **Responsibilities include:** + Deliver program success with both obtaining and maintaining Authorization to Operate (ATO) in accordance with the customer's security policies + Interact with technical leads, developers, and system owners to ensure that Authorization to Operate (ATO) security packages and artifacts are developed and delivered on time in accordance with ICD security guidelines. + Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure security engineering initiatives are aligned with the operational needs of the organization + Perform periodic system reviews to maintain the baseline configuration, ensuring security patches, OS updates, and software versions are up to date across the environment utilizing Ansible Automation Platform + Collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise and possess the ability to organize and support the latest security initiatives + Develop and maintain security artifacts and body of evidence documentation, including diagrams, standard operational procedures, and best practices. + Update technical security guides and diagrams for mission critical systems + Proactively implement innovative security solutions that drive enterprise capability that is available to the entire workforce + Design, test and implement security controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks + Administer security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems + Maintain DoD 8570/8140 AIM level III certification throughout the life of the program. + Lead and mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership on enterprise best practices. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + 10 years of experience as Information Systems Security Engineer, with at least 5 years cloud solutions (AWS and/or Azure) experience. + DoD 8570/8140 AIT III certification + Experience engineering for Cyber engineering and integration services including security, authentication, identity management, authorization, and access control engineering. + Demonstrated experience with scanning tools such as Nessus and Rapid7, Xacta, ServiceNow, GUI and Front-end support. + Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, and endpoint protection tools such as SentinelOne. + Experience with Splunk or similar log management platforms for monitoring and troubleshooting. + Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of leading technical teams and projects. + Self-starter able to work independently and build relationships with technical reps across divisions, comfortable with cyber security and able to brief issues to the customer + Experience in one or more cloud computing services and technologies including but not limited to: AWS/C2S, Microsoft Azure, Nutanix, VMware. + Over 5 years of experience working on Intelligence Agency enterprise infrastructure and engineering programs, including Agile development and DevSecOps methodologies including on-site customer engagement. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + BS in Computer Science or Cyber Security. + Experience with zero-trust security architectures and cloud-native security solutions. + AWS Certified Solutions Professional certification. + RedHat Certified System Administrator / Engineer Certification + Windows Server Certified Administration/Engineer Certification **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
