Information Communication Technology (ICT) Discipline Lead - RCDD

Responsibilities We are currently seeking an experienced Information, Communications and Technology Designer or Engineer to lead the ICT team in our Austin, TX office. As a member of the Communications Systems Team, the Information, Communications and Technology Designer/Engineer will provide expertise and leadership to advance the designs for technically complex projects. Communications Systems include telecommunications, electronic security, audiovisual systems, and related technologies. They will coordinate with other Discipline Leads, Engineers, Architects, BIM/CAD/REVIT staff, as well as other Consultants to develop construction documents. They will act as a consultant, supporting contractor, clients, owners, and other stakeholders throughout the project phases. The vertical market focus includes science & technology, industrial, and manufacturing facilities for large private sector enterprises. However, this position could be assigned to support the team on higher education, healthcare, civic & state government, corporate/commercial, and hospitality. Manage project timelines and deliverables; Collect project requirements and coordinate design with the project team as well as collaborate to deliver fully coordinated construction documents; Participate in all phases of the project from concept through construction completion; Advance the design and develop documentation (drawings, specifications, narratives, reports, cut sheets, calculations, etc.); Attend meetings and present design packages to clients; Other duties as necessary. Qualifications Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) is required; PSP or CSP Certification is beneficial but not required; 10+ years of experience in the design of Communications Systems and a thorough understanding of communications systems design; Bachelor degree from an accredited university beneficial but not required; PE beneficial but not required; Familiarity of relevant industry standards and best practices; Experienced with the A/E delivery process; Ability to accurately interpret design/construction documents (Civil, Structural, MEP, Architectural, Technology); Ability to independently manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and time constraints; Attention to detail and a commitment to quality; Must have proven results in time management and be organized; Strong technical writing skills; Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills; Experience with the following technology; Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel), AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and other software packages as required to deliver; This position will require you to submit to and successfully pass the requirements for a security clearance. #LI-KS1
