Job Description

This role will offer you a possibility to set strategies for Information Architecture as a vital part of our overall data excellence. You will get to define future ways of working, supported by fit for purpose tooling, and help our stakeholders define our common business language with the help of information architecture. Through information architecture we can guide the future IT development to maintain the business logic in data.  

You will of course not do this alone, but will be a part of our Data Governance and Community unit, where we lead the road to data excellence, through building technical capabilities for data management, providing insights into adherence to data policies, and enabling our organisation with data literacy, communities of practice and trainings in order to reach the full potential of data excellence. This unit acts as a centre of excellence defining what good looks like as well as driving use case-based development efforts across the entire company.  

Your responsibilities as Information Architect, will include, but are not limited to: 

Through collaborative ways of working, define and document conceptual and logical data models for core business objects, aligned with future business needs, and signed off by stakeholders.Setting guardrails for core business objects, and continuously keeping track of larger business initiatives to enforce/adapt target models to secure interoperability. Communicating and educating around the core business objects as being the frame of reference across the business.  Define guidelines and guardrails for ways of working and tooling used to maintain the integrity of the models in our fast-changing business environment. Educate and promote IA standards and best practices across the organization.Contribute to development of and adherence to data policies, documentation of data intelligence, and data discoverability and quality standards in collaboration with Data Governance area. Assess relevant as-is E2E data flows for the core business objects and, in collaboration with stakeholders, design and communicate target flows. Have a holistic thinking and give broad attention to the big picture and be able to predict and react to changes that impact the overall view.

Qualifications

You have a holistic mindset and an understanding of the role of IA in the big picture of data management. You have a pedagogic vein and consider up-skilling of stakeholders and partners being at the heart of change management. Furthermore, we believe you have: 

Several years of experience working with information architecture, and a good understanding for the different levels of Enterprise Architecture and how they need to interact. Experience from working in architecture tooling (e.g. Sparx Enterprise Architect, Erwin or LeanIX) Experience from writing guidelines and guardrails. Strong pedagogic capabilities and good communication skills Experience from large and global organizations Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English 

It is beneficial if you have previous experience from project management and agile ways of working.

This is a fulltime position with placement in Stockholm. You will report to an Area Lead for Data Governance and Information Architecture at AI, Analytics and Data” Tech Center, within H&M Business Tech.
