Industrial Water Project Engineer

Role description:

Arcadis seeks an experienced Industrial Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our Design and Engineering team.  As a Project Engineer, you will participate in interdisciplinary industrial water and process teams to deliver high-quality detailed designs and constructed projects to our clients. Our current portfolio of growth opportunities falls within our Industrial Water Treatment and Optimization team, so an advanced understanding of the industrial water and wastewater field is a prerequisite.

Key responsibilities include: 

Preparing design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design and engineering plans and specifications, as well as overseeing construction administration for a variety of projects. Researching feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications. Working effectively with local, national, and global technical and client teams.  Proven ability to effectively delegate tasks to junior engineers. Environmental proposal support experience. Preparing Feasibility Studies. Developing visual, graphical, and tabular summaries of environmental data and trends. Coordinating work schedules with subcontractors. Conducting project-related research (historical data, regulations, etc.). Working effectively and collaboratively in team situations and establishing strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists. Traveling (10-20%): conducting pilots and full-scale treatability efforts, and participating in face-to-face client, technical, and other stakeholder meetings. 

Required Qualifications  

Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study 7 years of industrial water/wastewater treatment experience EIT Certificate

Preferred Qualifications  

Master of Science degree in Engineering or related field License: PE license Experience with industrial wastewater, facility infrastructure design, and other industrial planning, design, and construction engineering activities Strong communication skills, both oral and written; skills to include - public speaking, ability to communicate effectively as part of a team, preparation/development of technical documents, and prior client involvement Treatability or pilot testing experience Experience with AutoCAD, BIM 360, and/or Primavera scheduling software

The salary range for this position is $82,000.00 - $130,000.00.
