We are seeking an Industrial Wastewater Operator for assignment in Kansas City, Missouri. The selected candidate will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems, ensuring that all wastewater treatment processes are conducted safely, efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
** This position requires a valid Wastewater D Certification from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources **
Responsibilities- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment; including pumps, valves, filtration systems and chemical feed systems
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of wastewater samples to assess treatment effectiveness and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise, performing maintenance and repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate records of wastewater treatment activities; including process data, chemical usage and equipment maintenance
- Collaborate with environmental compliance personnel to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and permits
- Participate in safety training programs and adhere to all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- A valid Wastewater D Certification from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources
- 1+ years experience in operating and maintaining industrial wastewater treatment systems
- Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and industry standards
