As an Industrial Valves Regional Commodity Manager, you will ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality Machining, Fabrication, Assembly, Buyout, and C-class commodities to meet our organization's manufacturing needs.
As an Industrial Valves Regional Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for:
Driving / Executing Commodity Sourcing Strategy In India Region : Supplier identification/selection/commercials finalization/parts developments & qualifications pertaining to Castings, machining, fabrication, assembly/sub assemblies.Analysing spend landscape/industry , market landscape/supply base performance, monitor commodity market trends time to time. Create / Manage / Optimize supplier panels & enhance regional supplier capabilities that will deliver best Cost/Quality/Fulfillment/Regional growth.Analysing supplier capacities/capabilities, technology advancements, benchmark industry best practices and drivers to identify opportunities for cost/leadtime optimization and supply capacity/flexibility creation to improve top & bottom line objectives of Valves business.Performing robust & comprehensive supplier evaluation/assessments (techno commercial, QMS, regulatory, HSE, 5S, capability/capacity/financial risks) for new & existing suppliers at specified intervals.Leading/managing RFQs, price & terms negotiations with Suppliers. Maintaining SAP attributes (price, pay terms, incoterms, leadtimes, MoQs etc) for proper assignment of source rule to enable purchasing actions.Leading /driving contract finalization (Strategic supply agreements, VMI agreements, rebate/discount agreements, quarterly/half yearly/annual price agreements) to support business needs & objectives.Driving continuous Improvement at Supply base as well as internal process and drive efficiency & effectiveness.Establishing strong cross functional collaboration & maintain strong relationships, mutual cooperation/alignment with key suppliers and business stakeholders (Plants, Engineering, Global commodity leaders, Supplier Quality, Buying, Sales, Application Engineering, Product line, Project management etc) to support & drive forward business objectives, priorities.Early engage with Sales/Proposals/Inquiry teams to understand, support on Key market bids/orders. Help in improving cost & leadtime position for the product at ‘Inquiry to Order’ as well as ‘Order to remittance’ phases.Rendering delivery risk mitigation, expediting support to buying function through strategic & tactical measures/efforts..Measuring/Monitoring/Improving supplier performance & scorecards and drive sustainable improvement actions plans with regional supply base.Complying with Sourcing/Purchasing policies, QMS, Integrity / assessment guidelines while executing day to day tasks.Monthly key metrics report preparation & summarization.Fuel your passion!
To be successful in this role you will:
Minimum 13years of Industrial experience predominantly in Commodity Sourcing (Machining ,Castings, Fabrication ,Assembly, Sub assemblies ) with proven performance track record.Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical/Industrial / Production/ Relevant Engineering from an accredited university or college.SAP knowledge, Sourcing analytical tools/systems knowledgeShould have worked under global MNCs & in Matrix organization and should have liased with multiple cross functional stakeholders (global/regional)Should have worked in leading project based industries/companies in Energy/O&G/Aerospace and executed Project Sourcing. Experience in Valves industry will be added advantage.Work in a way that works for you!
