Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Industrial Security Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in San Diego, California.

Job Description: Develops and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to adapt to a fast paced and challenging work environment and must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills 

Support the day- to-day security functions of multiple Special Access Programs (SAPs) as an Alternate Contractor Program Security Officer (ACPSO)

Responsibilities include all aspects of program security with special emphasis on Personnel Security, education & training, document control and accountability, physical security

Must be willing to work with limited supervision and have the ability to make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems and provide focused solutions 

Responsible for interpreting and applying manuals outlining regulations and establishing procedures for handling, storing, and maintenance of records and for granting personnel and visitors’ access to restricted records and materials

Conduct security education classes and security audits, investigating security violations and preparing reports detailing preventive and corrective actions

Must have a working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Manuals (5205.07), SAP Volumes 1-4, and security classification guides.

Must be able to work closely with program managers and other domestic defense industry partners.

Basic Qualifications:

3 years with a Bachelors, 1 year with Masters OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 7 years of industrial security experience in a DoD contracting environment

Must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Top-Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

Must have he ability to sit for extended periods, relay and receive information, and collaborate in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree

Working knowledge of US Government tools and databases, including DISS, JADE, etc.

Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
