Industrial Maintenance Technician - Pipefitter

Scope of Performance: Qualified pipefitter to support maintenance, repair, and installation of explosive and chemical processing equipment. Technician will work in all explosive and chemical processing areas as determined by management or COR. Technician shall be subject to physical examinations and certification requirements. Technician will also support varying shifts including night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Tasks may include but are not limited to routine maintenance, repair, installation and modification to existing or new process equipment. This work includes hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronics, pipe fitting, and steam fitting
+ Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and conduct preventative maintenance on complex electrical, mechanical, and processing systems
+ Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems. This could include pipe support systems.
+ Ability to use pipe threaders, benders, machine tools, and general hand tools
+ Knowledge is brazing, soldering, and threading joints
+ Knowledge in blueprint reading and blueprint symbols
Education and Experience:
+ Master or Journeyman’s License, can be supplemented with experience
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
+ Ability to pass Explosives Handler physical and Respirator Fit test
+ Ability to pass Ammo-18 Certification class
+ Sound technical skills
+ Sufficient knowledge of mathematics
+ Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs)
