Cruz Associates Inc. (www.cruzinc.us) of Yorktown, VA has an open position and is looking for qualified candidates for an Industrial Maintenance Technician. The job location is at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, MD. Scope of Performance: Qualified electrician to support maintenance, repair, and installation of explosive and chemical processing equipment. Technician will work in all explosive and chemical processing areas as determined by management or COR. Technician shall be subject to physical examinations and certification requirements. Responsibilities: + Tasks may include but are not limited to routine maintenance, repair, installation and modification to existing or new process equipment. This work includes hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronics, pipe fitting, and steam fitting. + Troubleshoot repairs, modifies, and conducts preventative maintenance on complex electrical, mechanical, and processing systems. + Electrical tasks range from bending conduit and pulling wire to wiring three phase pumps, motor starters motor control centers, and control wiring. + Technician may be required to execute written maintenance procedures and document work completed on record sheets to be archived in data base. Education and Experience – Required: + High School Diploma or equivalent + Ability to gain/maintain a Secret Clearance + Ability to pass Explosives Handler physical and Respirator Fit test + Ability to pass Ammo-18 Certification class + Sound technical skills + Pipefitting/electrical/hydraulic experience strongly desired + Prior experience in a maintenance capacity/trade + Sufficient knowledge of mathematics + Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75lbs)
