Our client, a leader in manufacturing solutions, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team in Wayne, NJ. This role is responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and installations to ensure the proper functioning of machinery, equipment, and building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct general building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, painting, and repairs on doors and lighting.Perform new construction projects within the plant.Maintain and repair a variety of machinery and equipment, ensuring safe and proper operation.Supervise the porter and assistant maintenance mechanic to coordinate daily tasks.Manage records for preventive maintenance and repairs.Diagnose and repair electrical controls, motors, relays, circuit breakers, and other production equipment.Assist with creating wooden crates for the shipping department and operate minor machinery if needed.Be available for emergencies during off-hours (premium pay applies).Adhere to health and safety regulations, including wearing required PPE.

Requirements:

Proven skills in repairing machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools.Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.Strong mechanical aptitude with good math skills.Experience in electrical and plumbing repairs.A valid driver's license for local errands (e.g., material pickups).

Pay & Schedule:

$23.00Monday to Friday7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
