Job DescriptionWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As an Industrial Engineer/Project Manager II for the SCL Operational Excellence team, you will be responsible for managing projects for the build out and setup of new distribution centers, creating and maintaining warehouse CAD drawings, performing complex data analysis to support strategic decisions, documenting facility and equipment standard requirements, as well as identifying, leading and supporting SCL process improvement initiatives among other things.
The ideal candidate needs to have relevant project management experience (especially with large cross-functional capital projects) as well as relevant warehouse setup and distribution operations experience. This person must be self-motivated, resourceful and possess very strong communication and problem-solving and analytical skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for all planning, communication and project management activities for the design, setup and put into operation of new distribution facilities.Develops detailed work plans, project schedules, budgets, CAPEX approval documents, resource plans, and status reports.Designs facility layouts for optimal use of space and material flow, while meeting all safety requirements.Gathers requirements for the facility build out, creates and manages RFPs (request for proposals) for warehouse equipment and installation.Conducts regular project meetings with internal teams, general contractors, and project vendors. Shares project updates and resolves issues.Coordinates, tracks, and inspects the successful and timely completion of all project tasks. Assesses project risks and develops mitigation strategies and contingency plans.Monitors project expenses to ensure adherence to project budgets.Manages projects from start to finish.Creates and maintains warehouse CAD drawings, including safety drawings, as well as facility and equipment requirements for the residential distribution network.Conducts studies and analyses processes and operational data to identify and support operational improvements as they relate to workflows, use of resources, operations, and warehouse space. Summarizes findings and proposes solutions to meet operational objectives or improve products and/or processes.Creates data models and performs complex data analysis as necessary to support strategic decision making or identify problem root causes.Documents and maintains up-to-date information on all standard requirements relating to facility space design and warehouse equipment. Supports peak season overflow planning and distribution network design/modeling processes as required. This work includes among other things, warehouse space utilization reports and inventory or warehouse space requirements projections or analysis.Support other SCL and Lennox Teams by serving as liaison/subject matter expert, providing input and timely responding to inquiries related to ongoing projects or assignments, facility drawings or standards, warehouse equipment or vendor information.Successfully completes all assignments, duties and responsibilities within given timeframes.

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $76,500k - $94,500k and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.
Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Degree in Industrial Engineering.Ability to integrate engineering, supply chain and manufacturing elements. Previous project management experience with large distribution centers design, facility build out and setup (5 years minimum). Experience leading multiple projects at the same time of varying complexities.PMP or equivalent certification preferred.Six Sigma, Lean or equivalent certification preferred.Proficient with AutoCAD. Must understand architectural and MEP drawings.Proficient with MS Excel. Proficient with other MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc) and video conferencing applications (MS Teams, Zoom, WebEx…)Previous experience with SAP preferred.Must be detailed oriented with strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.MS Access, SQL knowledge/experience preferred. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.Must be self-motivated, very organized and enjoy being a part of a team. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to engage project team members to complete tasks and meet deadlines without direct managerial authority.Must be able to travel 50% of the time.
