Industrial Engineer
Job Title: Industrial EngineerJob Description Provide technical support for assigned manufacturing areas, including time and motion studies, creating and maintaining product routings and labor standards. Lead area cost savings efforts to identify new practices and procedures that will reduce manufacturing costs. Utilize Lean Manufacturing methodology to drive process improvements. Assist in determining facilities requirements for production processes, product flow, material handling, and utilities. Determine manufacturing costs of new and existing products for concepts, make vs. buy decisions, and component costs. Review processes and implement changes to adhere to quality control guidelines and engineering specifications. Promote a safety culture through enforcement of safety rules and positive reinforcement of safe work behaviors. Essential Skills + Industrial engineering + Manufacturing engineering + Process improvement + Time studies + Lean manufacturing + Sheet metal fabrication + ERP systems + IFS proficiency or similar software + Microsoft Office skills + Minimum of two years of experience + Continuous improvement + Six Sigma + Lean Six Sigma + Line balancing + Process flow Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in stop watch time studies and predetermined time and motion systems. + Working knowledge of ERP systems as it relates to product routings and cost standards. + Knowledge of manufacturing/production processes. + BS in Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 2-3 years experience or 2-year degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience. + A working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, automation, aluminum and steel welding, precision machining, tool design, and routings. + Excellent organizational, presentation, communication (verbal and written), attention to detail, and follow-through skills. + Ability to work on multiple projects under time restrictions. Work Environment The work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with the requirement to be onsite full time. There may be instances where the engineer will need to come in earlier or stay later. The dress code is casual wear, including jeans.
