Description:

We are currently seeking a Site Electrician to join our team of skilled professionals.  The position will be based in Brampton, Ontario.

The main objective of the role is to maximize plant performance through troubleshooting, repair and upgrade of electrical equipment.

Responsibilities:

Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures                                            and other electrical components such as switches, relays, circuit breakers and fuse disconnectsTroubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devicesWork with computers, AC/DC drives, HMI’s and PLC’sRead and interpret Electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specificationsConduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance recordsMaintain spare parts inventoryWork closely with Operations and Mechanical Maintenance personnelPlan and oversee testing and calibration of electrical and electronic equipment and tools on a scheduled basisComply with internal and corporate policies, procedures and regulations with respect to Health & Safety

Respond to emergency situations as necessaryPerform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the ManagerThe position is subject to shift/weekend work and availability for on call in emergency

Job Requirements:

Licensed Industrial Electrician 442AElectrical Engineering Degree or Diploma is a plusMust have knowledge of AC/DC Drives, Relay Logic, RS logix 500 and control logix ProgrammingMinimum of 5 years of experience in a continuous manufacturing environmentExcellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work collaborativelyGood communication skills (verbal and written)Please apply in confidence outlining your qualifications, experience and salary expectations.
