Indirect Tax Associate
About the Role
The Indirect Tax associate is to execute the complete indirect excise and sales and use tax compliance of all U.S. group entities. Will be analyzing financial and business data in order to ensure timely and accurately filling of the periodic indirect tax returns and assisting the IDT manager upon request in various compliance related IDT matters.
What you will do Responsible for the accurate preparation and timely filing of State and Local Sales & Use, Gross Receipts/B&O, State & Local Excise, and other indirect tax related filings; In order to ensure correct indirect tax fillings. The IDT compliance associate will analyze financial data, e.g. from Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Revenue Accounting and Corporate Accounting, including the review of transaction tax data to ensure it is accurate and analyze variances prior to sending data to 3rd party outsourcer for filing; Assist with research and issuance of Resale and/or Exemption Certificates; Assist with State and Local Sales & Use tax and State & Local Excise notice resolution; Initiate basic research to resolve state and local tax issues and perform special projects, as required, including assisting the IDT manager in indirect tax audits.
Who We Are Looking For
A dynamic, passionate, and result-oriented person, with:
Bachelor's Degree; 3+ years experience with excise duties and Sales taxes compliance is a must. Experience with customs compliance is considered a pre (Experience gained preferably in a (multi)-national FMCG organization). Proficiency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
