Job Description: A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team and support in driving finance transformation projects under the CFO Office. In this role, you will be pivotal in managing and executing key finance projects, ensuring robust project governance, and driving the transformation of finance operations across the organization. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to implement process improvements and ensure the effective execution of transformation strategies within the finance function.
Responsibilities:
Project Management Office (PMO) Activities for transformation & CFO office projects
• Conduct process analysis to identify process improvements, leverage data insights, and support decision-making for finance transformation initiatives.
• Understand the processes and define the future state of processes
• Implement and execute PMO processes, standards, and frameworks to ensure project consistency, quality, and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines for projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Track and monitor project progress and risks, managing dependencies and reporting on key milestones to senior management and stakeholders.
• Facilitate project meetings, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are engaged and informed about project progress and coordination.
• Monitor project budgets and financial metrics, ensuring forecasts are met and alerting senior management to potential issues.
• Analyze project performance, identify variances between budget and actual costs, and propose solutions to address discrepancies.
• Prepare regular financial updates and project performance reports for senior management.
• Research around Finance industry best practices and technology trends
Stakeholder Engagement, Change Management and strategic Communication
• Serve as a point of contact for CFO Office for all strategic communication
• Support the coordination of communication efforts, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and managing action items.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and dashboards that provide clear updates to stakeholders at all levels.
• Defining change strategies for the projects
• Driving change management initiatives for Finance
Continuous Improvement & Best Practices
•Contribute to the ongoing refinement of PMO processes and methodologies, recommending improvements to ensure efficient project delivery.
•Monitor industry trends and emerging practices in project management and finance transformation, identifying opportunities for organizational growth and development.
• Support the collection and analysis of lessons learned from completed projects to improve future project delivery.
