In-School RBT - Registered Behavior Technician

BAYADA Behavioral Health is a non-profit employer seeking an in-school **Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®).** RBTs work with individuals with Autism and other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDDs) to reduce challenging behaviors, increase functional skills, and foster independence and individuality.
**How You’ll Make an Impact:**
+ Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan
+ Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams. Respect the values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes of clients and families
+ Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment
+ Document interventions and progress towards goals
+ Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan
+ Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals
+ Provide support to the client in interpersonal skills, development, and maintenance of personal relationships, and building independence in their school routine
+ Supports school age children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

**Qualifications for a School-Based Behavior Technician:**
+ Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT) Certified or the desire to pursue certification (paid for by BAYADA)
+ Be at least 18 years of age
+ Experience working with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities is a plus, but not required
+ An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree **OR** 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 **OR** Passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available)
