We are looking for positive and team-oriented individuals to join in Hospital Logistics team at Peel Memorial Centre in Brampton, Ontario. The Team Lead is a responsible employee that organizes daily work along with maintaining good relationship with staff and clinical teams. Acts a role model to staff members, and a liaison between clinical staff & Materials Management department. Performs safety audits and suggests corrective action where necessary. Has a continuous improvement mindset to suggest improvements in Stores & JIT program.

Your Contributions to the Organization will be:
Ensuring the daily coordination and efficient flow of operations on the floor, moving resources as required
Assisting the Manager to ensure that the team is working in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
Attend and participate in monthly, weekly & daily meetings with staff.
Listen and resolve any concerns that are reported by clinical staff.
Training new and existing unionized employees on all work practices and procedures
Assigning and directing the work on the floor, responding to complaints and resolving problems
Coaching employees on how to improve quality and productivity metrics
Working closely with interdepartmental management staff & vendors.
Manage Stores inventory daily and participate in yearly inventory count.
Maintaining an open communication with employees, relaying key messages and participating in team meetings
Assisting in tracking each employee's performance to ensure that all employees are working according to production, quality and attendance standards
Ensuring that employees always comply with health and safety rules
Other work duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

You possess a post-secondary education completed (DEC)
You have 3 years of experience in the operations or distribution field
You have proven leadership skills
You enjoy working with computers & handheld devices (Outlook, Windows etc.)
You have good working knowledge of Meditech hospital software
You have good interpersonal and communication skills
You enjoy problem-solving and multi-tasking, adapting to change and reprioritizing on short notice
You have knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Methodologies / Continuous Improvement (preferred)
