Visiting Angels is seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our team as a weekend caregiver. In this role, you will provide essential assistance with daily living activities for our clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. As an individual contributor, you will play a key role in enhancing the well-being of our clients in the local Bridgeport, West Virginia community.

Responsibilities:Provide assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transferringAssist with meal preparation and feedingSupport clients with medication reminders and administrationAccompany clients to doctor's appointments, errands, and eventsAssist with light housekeeping and laundryProvide companionship and emotional support for clientsFollow Visiting Angels Hygeia's policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times
Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a healthcare or caregiving role preferred but not requiredMust have a compassionate and caring demeanorExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust be reliable, punctual, and able to work independentlyValid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insuranceAbility to pass a criminal background check and drug screeningMust be physically able to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and stand for extended periods of time
