Implementation Manager (Technology Sector Business Unit)

\n

This position will travel up to 75% on the West Coast.

\n\nLead the operations efforts for new business pursuits, working hand in hand with the business development lead. Responsibilities would include\n\nDesign validation to include productivities, process times and staffing / shift plans\nCommercial negotiation on KPI’s and other operational focused contract elements\nConstruction of the site ops team and coordination of the non-site based implementation support team.\nExecutive updates on progress and challenges\nOversight of the support functions (HR, construction, etc.) working the project\n\n\nImplementation Manager will lead the process from RFP through implementation and up to 6 months post implementation.\nWill serve as acting / co-GM while any newly hired GM is brought up to speed and can have the operation handed off.\n

Job Description

Responsible for assisting in the development and the direct implementation of methods and procedures during start-ups, implementations and go-live. Provides support to the General Manager and Operations team. Facilitates in the definition of project specifics through use of internal process and programs, conducting workshops and engaging in project kick-off meetings (internal and customer).

Design validation to include Cost model / CoO productivities, process times and staffing / shift plansAssist and develop training programs and materialsPartner with BUIT in early development of Test Scripts and conduct UATSupport the governance of Cutover Plan by working closely with Project Delivery TeamEvaluate Operational start up team for proper roles and responsibilities based upon implementation requirementsEnsure that statistical reports are applied for measuring processes, productivity and efficiencyFacilitate workshops (SIPOC) to develop and document current / future process flowsDrive identification, prioritization and quantification of risksAid in development, review and approval of key operational reportsParticipate in cross-functional teams to solve business problems and abate risksParticipate with testing of automated and warehouse managements systems including conducting user acceptance testing, (UAT) and business process validationMonitor and report any start-up scope changePerform operational observations during go-live/start-up

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree with focus in logistics, business management, engineering or systemsProject Management Professional Certification (PMP) – preferred2+ years industry; working in a project based environmentExcellent change management skillsSolid understanding of Supply Chain Concepts
