EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for an IFEC Solutions Engineer in our Hughes Network Systems division. Hughes is a leading provider of LEO and GEO satellite products and services that recently announced disruptive in-flight entertainment and connectivity solutions for airlines. This position can be located in either Lisle, IL or Germantown, MD.

This role will help grow our IFEC business by using your broad avionics expertise and consultative style to help deliver the best IFEC solutions to prospective airline partners. As a key member of the global airline pursuit team, you will work with cross-functional organizations to manage the technical aspects of the pursuit, prepare technical content, and support airline pursuit efforts.

Responsibilities:

Effectively and persuasively communicate the technical intricacies and benefits of IFEC solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, tailoring explanations to their specific needsProvide in-depth technical support to airlines regarding ESAs, avionics, systems integration, line-fit and retrofit aircraft installations, certification, and satellite communicationsTriage and complete compliance matricesInfluence market requirementsActively participate in pursuit initiatives through proposal development, airline meetings, tradeshows, product demonstrations, and conference callsPromote our company products and servicesUp to 30% of travel (domestic and international)

Basic Requirements:        

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field5+ years’ experience in a sales engineering/support position in aviation and/or satellite communicationsPrior experience in any combination of the following: ESAs, avionics, systems integration, line-fit and retrofit aircraft installations, certification, and satellite communications in the commercial aviation industryPrior experience presenting complex technical information clearly, concisely, and persuasivelyPrevious experience designing, installing, and/or maintaining IFEC solutions.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $77,500.00 - $97,000.00
