This director will supervise the practicing psychiatrists and psychiatric advanced practice providers, review the work of the psychologists and oversee the operations of the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital. The director will work closely with all nine institutions on placement and treatment of complex cases as well as pertinent pharmacy issues, serve on various committees and provide mental education for Iowa Department of Corrections staff .
