Identity and Access Management Administrator II

Function: The Identity and Access Manager Administrator I is an entry-level position responsible for managing, enhancing, and securing the organization’s identity and access management (IAM) systems. This role encompasses IAM administration, policy enforcement, and strategic IAM initiatives. The administrator will collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to ensure robust access controls and compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting functions related to user access controls.

Duties and Responsibilities:

User Account Administration

Oversee the lifecycle management of user accounts, including creation, modification, and deactivation.

Manage access requests and approvals, ensuring adherence to IAM policies.

Perform regular audits of user accounts and access rights, addressing discrepancies.

Access Management and Policy Enforcement

Develop, implement, and enforce IAM policies, standards, and procedures.

Design and manage role-based access control (RBAC) frameworks and fine-grained access controls.

Ensure alignment of IAM policies with business and security requirements.

System Enhancement and Optimization

Assist with the implementation and maintenance of IAM systems, tools, and technologies.

Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements.

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to deploy IAM solutions and upgrades.

Security and Compliance

Ensure IAM practices comply with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.

Conduct security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate IAM-related risks.

Participate in incident response activities related to identity and access breaches.

Documentation and Reporting

Develop and maintain comprehensive IAM documentation, including policies, procedures, and system configurations.

Generate, analyze, and present reports on IAM activities, metrics, and compliance status.

Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and industry best practices.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with IT, security, HR, and other departments to align IAM practices with business needs.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address their IAM requirements.

Lead or participate in IAM-related projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.

Physical Demands:

Operates a keypad device:  90% of the day; operates office equipment:  10% of the day.   Standing is required less than 1 hour per day; sitting is required 7 hours per day; walking is required less than one hour per day.  Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry for a period of up to 90% of the business day.  Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18”-20” for computer work.  Must be able to lift, move, and/or carry up to 20lbs.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Education:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized training or two-year degree. Certified Identity and Management Access (IAM) Manager certification preferred. Must be completed within 6 months of hire.

Experience:

Two to five years of general business experience with two to five years specialized banking and / or IT-related experience required.
