The IDD/A Program Specialist at Achieving True Self will provide direct support with individuals we proudly serve at ATS in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities/Autism Department. An ID/A Program Specialist would be involved in assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of services for individuals with a diagnosis of ID/A through the coordination of services in accordance with their Individual Support Plan (ISP) with guidelines established by Achieving True Self based on principles of evidence-based practices and by the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) in Pennsylvania. What are the responsibilities of the IDD/A Program Specialist? 

Assist in development and implementation of new service lines within the ID/A program to include: updating of policies and work protocols as warranted while maintaining State, County and ATS requirements and standards.  Coordinate service lines with initial and ongoing through implementation within program guidelines. Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of services for individuals through the coordination of services for the consumers. Provide direct support in accordance with the consumers plan and also ODP guidelines.Complete necessary documentation for each service provided, collect and evaluate any applicable data relating to service and progress on objectives, and will continue to assess and further work with the team to develop positive strategies of supportComplete session planning materials. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks, attend staff trainings and agency meetings voluntarilyComplete service assessments per service lineComplete quarterlies by the 10th of each month of which they are dueRecognize and report any applicable incident reports and ensure safety and risk mitigation, complete monthly incident management review, complete 3 month trend analysis for quarter report Complete Career Assessment Reports, Vocational Profiles and/or Objectives for Plans of Support as applicable to the service line and submit for review within 3 weeks of start date.Review authorization and ensure appropriate utilization for authorized service lines. Participate in Quality Improvement Tasks as indicated for ProgramParticipate in community networking and marketing of all ACHIEVING TRUE SELF services Maintain positive attitude and collaborative team philosophy in all aspects of roleMaintain unbiased collaboration with internal and external customers including other agencies providing support to individuals with Developmental Disabilities, the Office of Developmental Programs, Administrative Entities/County offices, Supports Coordination Organizations, managed care organizations, federal, state and local government, commercial payers, private payers and special billing programs.Provide oversight and direct supervision of staff within waiver programs Provide administrative oversight of all consumers served through assigned location(s)Provide exceptional care and compassion in all consumer/family related interactionsPromotes the agency's philosophy by participating in the development, implementation and monitoring of the program goals and objectives.Maintains current knowledge for relevant licensing, credentialing, and/or accreditation standards and ensure program quality and compliance with all state, county, MCO, and CARF requirementsTravel between ACHIEVING TRUE SELF offices and individual homes and work locations as well as affiliated entities on a regular basis is required for this positionOther job duties as assigned by the Leadership Team and/or supervisor 

What qualifications do I need to join the ATS team as an IDD/A Program Specialist?

Must meet one of the following Educational Experience Requirements: Master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1 year work experience working directly with persons with ID and/or autism, OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years work experience working directly with persons with ID and/or autism, ORAn associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years work experience working directly with persons with ID and/or autism, OR A high school diploma or GED certificate and 6 years work experience working directly with persons with ID and/or autism.Within six months from date of hire must obtain certification from the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators/ACRE. Provide On Call Support; This will be a team approach to ensure availability of back-up and emergency support 24 hours a day.Provide direct services as needed to ensure coverage of consumers and meet all required expectations within the service roleProof of Driver's License, updated car insurance, and a reliable vehicle. Valid CPR certification; we are willing to train in CPR for those who need it..Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment. Strong ability to multi-task and problem-solve. Expertise in Google Drive applications and systems (JazzHR, Paylocity, Pathfinder, Text Recruit).Good organization, communication, and attention to detail. Positive, friendly attitude. Must be flexible and adaptable to rapid changes in the daily work environment and be resourceful in solving problems.
