JOB PURPOSE

Are you passionate about managing end to end portfolio, gaining wide procurement expertise across logistics, driving the business with direct contribution? Then this role is tailored for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role manages the Global Ocean Freight for the Ice Cream organization.

Global Ocean Freight:

Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies for global ocean freight.

Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.

Negotiate contracts and terms with ocean freight carriers to secure the best rates and services.

Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.

Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics, supply chain, and finance, to align procurement activities with business objectives.

Analyze freight spend and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier performance metrics.

Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in ocean freight procurement.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:  

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on packing materials and logistics in the FMCG sector.

Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in procurement software and tools.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in procurement.
