The Financial Controlling Manager plays a key role in Turkey financial controlling team covering financial accounting and reporting, risk management and control, internal & external assurance and has a wide range of responsibilities
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Risk Management & Controls
Follow the risk management agenda, ensuring high-quality risk assessments are conducted and risks are appropriately managedUnderstand root causes of issues and identify where controls are not operating and drive remediation through relevant business leadersEnsure that the Global Financial Controls Framework is embedded and operating in line with the agreed global modelOversight over financial controls operated outside of Finance (e.g. Supply Chain) and drive focus on operational controls across the businessMaintain and enforce relevant local authority schedulesAccounting & Reporting
Work on accurate and timely financial reporting for both group and local statutory reportingContinuously improve the quality of accounting and implement changes in group & local accounting standards, policies & proceduresLead and contribute to a broad range of other financial controlling & accounting activities and projectsFinancial Processes
Deploy the global financial process efficiency programs in the marketEliminate, simplify, automate and/or centralise transactional activitiesExpertise Areas
Active oversight of relevant local filings, enquiries, issue managementThird Party relationship management where delegated by the relevant Global Expertise teamInternal & External Assurance
Liaise with Corporate Audit & ownership of any follow up actionsManage the relationship with local external auditorLeading and contributing to a broad range of other financial controlling & accounting activities and projects, depending on personal preference and pipeline of projects.Local Treasury Operations
Work closely with Global Treasury and secure sufficient and cost-efficient liquidity, financing and FX hedging considering all relevant FX, tax, legal and operating constraintsProvide oversight to Treasury operations to ensure compliance to the Global Treasury StandardManage local bank relationsImplement required standards of risk control and maintain insurance against risks specified in the Global Insurance & Risk Control StandardWHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
