Kforce has a client based in Baltimore, MD seeking an IBMi developer with team lead experience. The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced and collaborative developer with a strong background in both the IBMi platform and Microsoft Business Intelligence solutions. They should have expertise in designing and maintaining efficient, scalable applications, particularly using RPG ILE and related technologies. Responsibilities: * Spearhead and collaborate with the development team to design, build, and maintain applications on both the IBMi platform and Microsoft Business Intelligence solutions * Develop and sustain modular, scalable, and high-performance RPG programs using RPG ILE, alongside integrating peripheral programs and APIs * Utilize SQL and Embedded SQL to retrieve, manipulate, and manage data within databases * Engage in clear and effective communication with management, colleagues, business analysts, and quality assurance teams * Take part in code review sessions, debugging, and process optimization to ensure high-quality deliverables * Contribute to refining development methodologies and promoting best practices within the team * Collaborate closely with the Application Architect to implement necessary system modifications and drive key projects forward
