IAM Systems Administrator
Classification Title: Systems Admin/Programmer III Job Description:

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a professional-level IAM Systems Administrator to join Infrastructure and Communication Technology (ICT) a unit within UFIT.

Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other employees dedicated and focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida’s innovative and inspirational community.

The Identity & Access Management Systems (IAM) Administrator/Programmer provides medium to advanced level systems administration of IAM infrastructure. This position is responsible for designing, operating, and maintaining IT infrastructure with a solid understating of Linux operating system, scripting languages, relational database management systems, directory services, and identity & access management workloads in higher education environment.

Benefits

Full-time TEAMS employees accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition, employees are eligible for ten paid holidays each year.

Vacation-accruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year, assuming full-time status. These leave days may allow units to close from December 26 to 31, when possible, determined on a unit-by-unit basis.

Expected Salary:

$75,000 – $85,000; commensurate based on education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience.

Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience but does not negate the minimum degree requirement(s).

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills:

Advanced technical knowledge of Linux operating systems Understanding of containerization using Docker along with orchestration via Docker Swarm or Kubernetes Understating of Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) Understanding of public key infrastructure (PKI) Familiarity with infrastructure orchestration tools such as Terraform Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible and/or Puppet Experience with automation using scripting tools such as PowerShell and/or Python using Git Familiarity with relational database management systems such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and/or Oracle including building SQL queries Familiarity with messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ Familiarity with managing Active Directory, Shibboleth, Grouper, and Duo MFA infrastructure Special Instructions to Applicants:
