About the Opportunity 

The Commissioning Coordinator will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Commissioning phase of a HVDC project from the detail design through to handover to the client at the end of the Commissioning phase.

 

Responsibilities Include\:

Ensure Safety is the highest priority on the project, with a continued strive towards Zero Harm. Promotes and manages safety within assigned projects through the implementation of CDM procedures on site. Supervises the commissioning team as a role model for all aspects of safety, ensuring a proactive approach to safety. The commissioning coordinator reports to the commissioning manager and will assist in compilation of the project commissioning strategy and definition of the commissioning scope of work, plan and schedule You will be responsible for the supervision, testing and commissioning of control, protection and Sub station Automation Systems for HVDC Systems.  You will create detail commissioning plans and test documents and testing schedules for commissioning of the HVDC station. Supervises and coordinates the preparation and execution of the arrangements for controlling, witnessing, recording and assessing the results of commissioning tests ensuring that all commissioning activities are recorded and managed via the project completions management system Supports the Project Engineering team by attending and contributing to design reviews and HAZID / HAZCON / HAZOP workshops to ensure the project design has accommodated commissioning related activities. Performs risk analysis of commissioning execution and supervises the building of safe systems of work for the commissioning team

* You will have a background in electrical engineering and on site commissioning delivery for HVDC projects in the UK under CDM regulations Bachelor of Science in electrical Engineering or equivalent Proactive and have good communication skills Experience working as commissioning coordination
