BGIS Technical Services specializes in providing high-quality Planned and Reactive Maintenance solutions across Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Building, and Fire Services. Initially serving NSW, our services are expanding nationwide. We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to maintain and service chillers, package units, split systems, ventilation, and filtration systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

Tender and Quotation Management: Prepare and manage tenders, quotations, and estimates as required. Equipment Installation & Maintenance: Assemble, install, test, and maintain heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment using specialized tools. System Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on cooling units, ventilation systems, and filtration units to ensure optimal performance. Diagnostic & Repair Work: Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems. Inspection & Compliance: Perform inspections on refrigeration and chilled water systems, ensuring compliance with Building Management Systems (BMS) standards. Client & Contract Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet KPIs and service expectations. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare monthly reports, attend client meetings, and maintain clear communication. Continuous Improvement: Adapt to evolving business needs and seek opportunities to enhance efficiency. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the BGIS team, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of teamwork. Compliance & Accountability: Uphold company values and ensure adherence to industry standards and performance expectations. Performance Objectives Ensure Efficient System Maintenance – Maintain and service HVAC systems to meet performance and compliance standards. Manage Equipment & Quotations – Oversee equipment installation, testing, and maintenance while handling tender and quotation processes effectively. Client & Contract Management – Foster positive relationships and ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations. Drive Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiency.

 

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:

Experience: 1-5 years in a similar role, particularly in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.

Skills: Strong diagnostic and repair skills for electrical and mechanical faults; excellent communication and customer service skills.

Education: Valid Trade Licence, Refrigerant Handling Licence (Artic), and Restricted Electrical Licence.

Desirable:

Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Skills: Adaptability and problem-solving abilities with a flexible, innovative approach.
