Job Description

AECOM is looking for an experience HVAC TAB Engineer professional with demonstrated expertise in testing, adjusting, and balancing to join our building commissioning practice on many new and amazing projects across the US.  You will work closely with our M/E/P professionals on design, construction, and existing building projects utilizing new technologies and advanced diagnostic equipment.

 

Position Description / Responsibilities

TAB Engineer shall perform responsibilities during all phases of the project lifecycle including Design, Construction, and Post-Occupancy.Collaborates with Owners, Design Professionals, Commissioning and Construction Manager throughout all phases of project.Supports design development activities and contributes to the develop of TAB and Commissioning Specification and Requirements.Review contract documents for clarity, balancing, commissioning, operations and maintenance.Perform construction site inspections to examine the installation and construction of HVAC systems, reviews construction schedule and provides input regarding durations and activities, coordinate closely with other construction trades such as Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Automation Contractors, communicates with Client, CM, and Commissioning personnel as required.Collect, tabulate, and document system test data and make field observations.Perform TAB field testing of HVAC systems using established AABC/NEBB procedures.Communicates equipment and/or performance deficiencies or recommendations to supervisor and client.Analyze system performance for compliance with construction documents.Maintains TAB equipment in excellent working condition.Performs technical support tasks related to TAB, Commissioning, Construction Management, Facility Assessments as directed by Supervisor.Responsible for technical and TAB reports, ensures content is accurate and consistent with industry acceptance requirements.Collaborates with AECOM professionals and Owners on recommissioning projects.Ensures AECOM test equipment is maintained and calibrated at all times.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or AA/AS (US) + 6 years of related experience or HS/GED + 8 years of related experienceTAB Certification Required
