Job Title: HVAC Service Contract Sales

Position Overview: Maintenance Agreement Sales Representative

The primary function of this role is to sell preventive maintenance service contracts. The responsibilities of a Service Sales Representative include promoting and selling preventive maintenance contracts to clients, as well as HVAC and plumbing installation projects or remodels to contractors and end users throughout Kansas. This employee will establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of new construction and service work by scheduling sales calls, following up with leads, and utilizing marketing strategies.  Must be able to build new business associates / relationships and grow the service and construction business. 

This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment with a focus on sales and customer service. It will require travel to potential/existing customer sites. 

 

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

Responsible for the identification, selection, and development of new and existing customer accounts. Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication with customers, always ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services. Ensure contractual obligations are met and actively participate in quickly resolving customer problems. Presentations and quotes to clients for service and any follow-up impairments. Grow service base by selling commercial service products & solutions to new and existing customers, including repair service, modernization, and service agreements. Work with other branch personnel to ensure great customer service from the order to the delivery and beyond. Perform customer surveys as required/requested. Develop and maintain vendor relations. Obtain all licensing required to perform job function, as applicable. Obtain manufacturers’ certifications required to perform job function, as applicable Complete proper scheduling and execution of monthly calls as necessary and report to management. Execute all Company processes and complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Continually enhance sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field. Survey existing client facilities and populate equipment lists; establish appropriate filter size lists; ensure PMA technicians have been informed of special client-specific requirements (safety, PPE, attire, etc.) Attend trade shows and hiring fairs, as well as engaging within local civic and leadership groups Travel to customer facilities and job sites as required

 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Education / Work Experience:

High School Diploma or GED is required. 2+ years of experience selling HVAC service contracts or working within the HVAC industry is required. Knowledge of industry standard practices for service and inspection is to be acquired. Ability to multi-task is required. Valid driver's license and excellent driving record is required.

Compensation Range: Base salary + commission opportunity, $50k-$100k+

Knowledge of industry standard practices and HVAC systems familiarity for service and maintenance.

 

Ideal prospect will have 2 years of experience selling HVAC service contracts or working within the HVAC industry, but we may be willing to train the right personality.
