Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a HVAC Technician. The HVAC&R Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) systems. This includes ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality standards. The role requires technical expertise, a proactive approach to resolving issues, and adherence to operational and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities Perform installations, servicing, and repairs of HVAC&R systems according to design specifications. Inspect and test electrical and mechanical systems for heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration. Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions and defects in systems. Reassemble equipment post-repair and ensure proper functioning. Clean plant rooms, filters, and maintain tools and materials for daily use. Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act, ISO, and industry standards. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and complete work within budget constraints. Prepare and organize tools and materials needed for tasks. Ensure proper documentation and escalation of issues when necessary.

Requirements Grade 12 certificate with a trade test qualification. Relevant certifications from OTTC, ACRA, or N-stream in mechanical or electrical disciplines. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Demonstrated expertise in chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, split units, cold rooms, freezer rooms, VRF/VRV systems, computer room cooling, packaged units, air handling units, evaporative cooling, and ventilation systems. Proficiency in MS Office and understanding of electrical/control circuits. Certification in safe handling of refrigerants (mandatory). Safety and first aid training. Possession of a valid driver’s license and personal hand tools. Medically fit and willing to travel as required.
