GENERAL PURPOSE: URMC is seeking a part-time Research Assistant (2 hours per week to start) to assist with a research study involving a transdisciplinary support intervention for patients with severe stroke and their family/caregiver. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Acts as a resource to the LOTUS nurse to understand patient and caregiver challenges and provides community resources to participants in the study via the LOTUS nurse + Works with the LOTUS nurse in establishing caregiver needs related to financial, care management, and skilled need evaluation and support. + Documenting research visits in our study electronic medical record + Maintaining regulatory certification with our IRB + Participating in interdisciplinary team calls about participants every 1-2 weeks + Contributing to manuscripts and other products of this research study Other duties as assigned **QUALIFICATIONS:** + Associate's degree required + Or equivalent combination of education and experience required + Clinical or Community Social Work experience in health setting preferred + Prior experience as a Phlebotomist preferred + Word processing, data analysis software and use of electronic medical records preferred + CITI Human Subject Protection Program preferred The University of Rochester is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion to advance the University¿s mission to Learn, Discover, Heal, Create ¿ and Make the World Ever Better.
