HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (INFORMATION SYSTEMS)
Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (INFORMATION SYSTEMS) in the OPERATIONS PROGRAM SUPPORT of OFFICE OF CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATIONS. ***This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants. Please review the HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED, HOW TO APPLY, and WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT sections below for instructions.*** Responsibilities You will provide technical advice and guidance to the employee of the operations of computer systems and capabilities available to assist them in their responsibilities and to support the organizations mission. You will prepare and coordinate technical support requirements and operating instructions. You will advise management on the type and frequency of user training needed on existing computer systems. You will advise or assist with routine, non-complex human resources problem/issues, referring more difficult questions to higher level specialist or supervisor. You will interpret system requirements and changes as they impact on processes and procedures and recommends appropriate action to all levels of the organization. You will recommend system enhancement and identifies and ensures corrective action to solve discrepancies. You will maintain data quality using various applications to analyze errors and identify trends and develop and/or recommend solutions to systemic problems. You will ensure mandatory training and forms are completed to allow access to the computer systems. You will ensure accurate inventory and/or maintenance of all information technology equipment, software and peripheral devices. You will provide maintenance and administration on assigned automated civilian personnel systems and monitors for errors and system updates/downloads. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing resolution of hardware/software problems; and assisting with inventory and maintenance of all information technology equipment, software, and devices with the organization. GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing computer systems assistance to an organizations end users; and referring difficult hardware/software problems to a higher level for review.
