Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a strong Human Resources Specialist to join our growing company. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining our positive employee relations culture where everyone understands how important they are to the success of B&K. You will collaborate with managers, and our field leaders to create lasting relationships where you will be able to make a positive impact to the business. What you’ll do: + Ensure positive employee relations and build the B&K culture based on our Core values + Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to: + Compensation + Benefits, and leave + Disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations + Performance and talent management + Productivity, recognition, and morale + Ensure all recruiting activity and documentation is managed in B&K’s applicant tracking system and in accordance with affirmative action policies + Responsible for new employee orientations and making sure the employee experience is exceptional + Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors; refer complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. + Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations + Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance. + Assist in delivering employee training programs. + Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. + Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records + Perform periodic audits of HR records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately + Successfully establish and maintain professional relationships with employees, and all levels of management What you’ll need (minimum qualifications): + 3-5 years of human resources experience preferred + Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. + Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems. + A bachelor’s degree in business, or a related field preferred + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Nice to have: + Advanced skills in Excel + SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus. NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
