Seeking a Human Resource Generalist or a Payroll specialist to join the team!
Pay rate: $25/HR-$30/HR depending on experience
Shift: 7am- 3:30pm OR 8am – 4:30pm Monday-Friday
POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resource Generalist works closely with the Human Resource Manager to accomplish Human Resource related tasks. The responsibilities include performing clerical administration duties with a heavy emphasis on hourly employee recordkeeping including time and attendance and payroll. Provides HR support to employees and leadership when HR Manager is not available while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with applicable labor and employment laws and policies. Assists with employee relations activities and promotes teamwork and good will among employee population.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review, correct, and confirm all hourly time and attendance. Maintain Attendance spreadsheets, issue warnings according to established policy, and respond to inquiries about time and attendance issues. Responsible for updating of all hourly employee information changes in ADP and other systems as applicable (new hires, changes, terminations, other). Maintain the employee files in accordance with record retention and other regulations and policies. Calculate and maintain special payroll payments including bonus, premiums, and other reimbursements. Audit the weekly payroll and other records for accuracy& proper individual payroll payments. Actively participate in the apprenticeship process including committee meetings; Apprentice Testing and maintain testing scores; Enroll apprentices in their college courses; track hours. Complete Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual payroll and headcount reports – audit month end reports and maintain HR Department KPI’s. Maintain first report of injury and other workers comp records including OSHA Logs. Manage job postings according to established procedures and work with managers and supervisors to fill hourly positions. Advertise, interview, select candidates for hourly union positions. Ensure all documents are completed correctly; Conduct background checks, E-Verify, and other on-boarding activities and training. Enroll new employees in time and attendance, and train all new employees and supervisors on how to use ADP. Administer FMLA and short term disability leave including checking for eligibility, issuing forms and notices and tracking usage according to established policies and procedures Assist in managing volunteer overtime and holiday postings and award based on established procedures. Assist in coordinating employee events and communication efforts; participate on various teams and committees; complete various reports and requests for information.

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred experience in Human Resources, Payroll and manufacturing environment
