Key Performance Areas
Talent Management
Maintain organisation staff by means of a recruiting testing and interviewing program counselling managers on candidate selection conducting and analysing exit interviews recommend changes
Oversee on boarding programme for new employees including induction orientation and training programs
Prepare a succession plan for management and other jobs in the company
Establish a talent management programme
Maintain human resource staff complement

Workforce Planning
Maintain the organisational work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
Responsible for maintaining the workforce complement all group companies
Maintain management guidelines by preparing updating and recommending human resource policies and procedures
Maintain historical human resources records by complying with the designed filing and retrieval system keeping past and current records
Monitor attendance reports on biometrics system and collect necessary data from management and employees for payroll purposes

People Development
Ensures planning monitoring and appraisal of employee work results by Training Coordinator to coach and discipline employees scheduling management conferences with employees hearing and resolving employee grievances counselling employees and supervisors
Act as skills development facilitator
Duties will include
Liaise with AgriSeta including submission of discretionary grant applications
Develop submit and implement the company&rsquos workplace skills plan WSP
Compile and submit the company&rsquos annual training report ATR
Oversee annual skills audit
Structuring and resourcing competence training
Identifying employees suitable for further training related to the role

Performance Management
Maintain job results by assisting management in counselling and disciplining employees planning monitoring and appraising job results
Establish a performance management system for middle management employees

Payroll and Reward
Responsible for the payroll and benefits administration ensuring payroll submissions is timely and accurate
Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys scheduling and conducting job evaluations preparing pay budgets monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions recommending planning and implementing pay structure revisions
Responsible for the payroll management and administration of all group companies including
Monthly reports
Incentive schemes and other inputs
Benefits administration
Biometrics access system
Preparation for 3rd party payments
Facilitate Department of Labour inspections and visits

Employment Equity companywide
Drive initiatives as envisioned in the employment equity plan to completion by the planned due date
Manage all employment equity data management and annual reporting
Act as employment equity manager
Duties will include
Identify all forms of discrimination which may be perceived exist within the company
Conducting regular audits of policies procedures and practices to identify employment barriers which prevent equal opportunities for all employees
Determine an action plan aimed at addressing any discriminatory practices and employment barriers identified
Recommend the introduction of appropriate education training and development programs for employees
Preparing reports and plans as required by the Employment Equity Act
Monitoring progress towards targets and affirmative action measures introduced

Wellness
Maintains employee benefits programs and inform employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends recommending benefit programs to management directing the processing of benefit claims

Employee relations
Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource statutory requirements conducting investigations maintaining records representing the organization at hearings and the CCMA
Negotiate collective bargaining agreements with the union Conduct wage negotiations
Manage labour unrest ie protected or unprotected strikes and restructuring processes according applicable legislation
Manage grievance procedures to handle complaints that result from disputes with unionized employees over the collective bargaining agreement work rules and interpretation of the meaning of the contract
Advise and works with managers of unionized employees to ensure compliance with the contract
Maintain good communication and a positive relationship with employees to promote employee satisfaction and ensures a positive working environment

Requirements
Completed Bachelors Degree in HR Industrial Psychology or equivalent
Formal payroll training and experience on Sage People will be advantageous
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior HR Role combined with a successful track record working within the HR field
Payroll experience is essential
Knowledge of the Labour Relations legislation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to develop and earn the trust of others
Strong business and HR acumen including strong problem solving skills critical thinking and willingness to be vocally selfcritical
Strong influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop managers
