Job Summary:
THE JOB
The HR/Payroll Intern will provide administrative support to the PNC Bank Art Center's Payroll team. This is a paid internship, starting in May and continuing thru September. The schedule will coincide with the season's event schedule, so will involve evenings and weekends.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
+ Work closely with the Venue's Payroll Team and Venue Management to facilitate and coordinate an exceptional on-boarding process for part time / seasonal employees
+ Assist with on-site payroll and general HR inquiries, questions and concerns
+ Assist with submission and review of pre-employment background screening
+ Gain a practical overview of HR practices, including topics like employee retention and labor laws
+ Gain exposure to a broad range of HR topics
+ Verify employee's I-9 documents
+ You will be trained on the Workday platform for onboarding
+ You will be trained on the ABI MasterMind workforce management system
+ Other payroll and HR audit duties/special projects as required
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
+ Undergraduate or Graduate student studying Human Resource Management, Business Management, or equivalent preferred
+ Should be fluent in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
+ Exceptional organization skills with the ability to effectively managed multiple projects concurrently
+ Self-motivated, resourceful, proactive, and collaborative team player.
