Human Resources (HR) Coordinator
As the Site Human Resources (HR) Coordinator you will oversee the day-to-day coordination and facilitation of employee onboarding and other site administrative tasks. Reporting to the Manager, HRBP, and receiving direct oversight from the Senior Project Manager and Labour Relations team, this role involves close collaboration with site personnel and shared services teams to ensure seamless alignment and effective coordination between the Project Site, its employees, and Corporate Shared Services.

Essential Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating and facilitating employee onboarding to the siteCollaborate with the recruiting and onboarding teams to ensure employees are cleared and determine their reporting structure with project supervisionTrack the onboarding progress of all employees, organizing site orientations and start datesMonitor project Community Employment Benefits for employee self-identification complianceAssist Superintendents and Job Stewards with progressive discipline, including form completion, discussions, and submissionsAct as an initial point of contact for employment-related claims, supporting both Human Resources (salaried employees) and Industrial Relations (unionized hourly employees) teams through the resolution processProvide support to Labour Relations on issues affecting the unionized workforce, including disciplinary/grievance matters and employee investigationsEnsure proper administration of the collective agreement and project pre-job for unionized hourly employees, and participate in Labour Management Meetings with Union, Site Management, Stewards, and LR Team

Qualifications:

Minimum of three years of experience in an administrative or coordination role, with exposure to human resources and/or unionized workforcesCompletion of post-secondary coursework in human resources or a related fieldExceptional organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyStrong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilitiesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated tact, diplomacy, and the ability to maintain confidentialityStrong customer service orientation and ability to work well within a teamAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProficient in MS Office Suite
