Job Summary

\n

A Human Resources Generalist helps managers make decisions relating to human resources, such as
maintaining good relationships with employees and hiring new talent. The generalist will often help
upper management determine strategies for hiring quality personnel. The generalist may also
administer general human resources duties, such as payroll, benefits, and training. Sometimes, it
may be essential to look over company policies and practices and to suggest changes. The generalist
may deploy new human resources policies and practices.

Duties include but are not limited to:

\n\nGuide managers in recruiting and employee relations.\nAdminister employee compensation, training, and benefit programs.\nActs as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding
company policies, practices, and regulations.\nProcess, verify, and maintain documentation relating to HR activities such as staffing, training, and performance evaluations.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

\n\nKnowledge of typical business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.)
at a proficient level.\nKnowledge of Human Resource and administrative policies and procedures.\nKnowledge of FMLA/leave administration, performance management, unemployment and
workers’ compensation claims, and employee relations.\nKnowledge of company policies, procedures, and forms.\nKnowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.\nKnowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.\nKnowledge of current governmental compliance regulations and laws.\nKnowledge of multi-state laws, including state-specific laws.\nKnowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.\nProfessional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).\nSelf-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.\nConfidentiality and discretion in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.\nTime management and time-critical prioritization skills.\n\n

Education and Experience

\n\nBachelor's Degree Preferred\n3 – 5 years of directly related or closely related experience\n
