KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the support of all functional Human Resources areas with respect to staffing, policy development, training, organization development, benefits administration and employee/labor relations.Builds and maintains effective working relationships with people at all levels of the organization. Provides counsel and support to managers and supervisors in the day-to-day implementation of policies and procedures.Ensures HR policies and practices are effectively communicated; ensures consistency in interpretation and application, and compliance with all applicable federal and state laws/regulations.Assists in the interpretation and application of the terms of the collective bargaining agreement to ensure consistent administration.Maintains and promotes effective employee relations with all levels of management and employees.Participates in the recruitment for hourly and salaried employees.Creates and establishes systems that support existing processes with a focus on continuous improvement.Conducts new employee orientations and administers the exit interview checklist.Coordinates HR sponsored employee recognition programs and social events.Supports Worker's Compensation and return-to-work programs.Creates environment to support the ongoing development of talent utilizing current processes and ongoing improvement.Coordinates and conducts internal training programs.Works on salary administration and benefits projects as required.Coordinates employee communications.Participates in other HR related activities and projects as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in human resources or other business related field.0-3 years of experience in human resources.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills. Must be able to handle multiple projects and is self-motivated.Must possess strong presentation, interpersonal and effective communication skills both verbal and written.Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.PHR or SPHR certification a plus.CORE COMPETENCIES
