Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HR Generalist to join our team for extended leave of absence coverage for 18 months.
Reporting to the Manager- Human Resources, the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle, addressing employee queries, handling employee relations issues, coaching supervisors and managers on employee relations matters, and planning and coordinating monthly Lunch and Learn forums. This position requires a proactive and resourceful individual who is passionate about fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Recruitment:Manage the full recruitment process, including job posting, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and ensure a smooth hiring process.Employee Queries:Address and resolve employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, and workplace issues.Provide timely and accurate information to employees regarding HR-related matters.Employee Relations:Handle employee relations issues with sensitivity and confidentiality.Conduct investigations, mediate conflicts, and recommend appropriate actions to resolve employee relations issues.Coaching and Training:Coach supervisors and managers on employee relations issues and provide guidance on best practices.Plan and coordinate monthly Lunch and Learn forums for managers, supervisors and team leads to enhance their skills and knowledge.Leave of Absence Management:Manage and track employee leave of absences (LOAs) in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.New Employee Orientation:Conduct new employee orientation sessions to ensure smooth onboarding and integration into the company.Provide new hires with essential information about company policies, procedures, and benefits.Performance Management:Assist management with performance-related issues, including performance evaluations, goal setting, and development plans.Provide support and guidance to managers in addressing performance concerns and implementing improvement strategies.Other duties as assigned.Educational/ Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources or related field.3 to 4 years of relevant experience with strong understanding of HR legislation, including provincial employment standards.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookExperience with Workday or other similar HRIS programs required.Distribution or Manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to work autonomously along with superb organizational skills and attention to details.Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.Strong Communication Skills (verbal, written and presentation)Employment Type: Full-Time – Fixed Term Contract (18 months)
Pay Range: $63,000 - $75,600 CAD annually based on experience and qualifications.
Hiring Range:
