Qualifications
Required:
Previous experience in HR related work requiredAssociate of Science degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field (or a minimum of two years of HR experience) or equivalent experience in the Hospitality FieldDemonstrated ability to solve problems by utilizing an understanding of HR laws and regulationsFamiliar with or able to learn ADP Enterprise HRMS and TimeSaver Time & Attendance systems, ADACO and other internal operating systemsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Powerpoint and reporting software (ReportSmith, EHRMS Query)Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detailExcellent communication, organizational, and human relations skillsAbility to work well in a fast-paced environmentAbility to effectively interact with team members at all levels of the organizationGood working knowledge of operational and administrative hotel departmentsAble to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysPreferred:
Experience with issues relating to EEO, FLMA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, Worker’s Comp, OSHA and FLSAWorking knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to appropriate interview questions surrounding Title VII and ADA issuesFormal HR certification or trainingPreferred, not mandatory – bi-lingual (English/Spanish/Creole)Education:
H.S. Degree, Associates or higher with concentration in Human Resources is PreferredExperience:
