About the Role

This global Human Resources position is a key member of Sea-Bird Scientific’s senior leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the overall people strategy for the Sea-Bird in support of Veralto’s and the Sea-Bird’s strategic goals. You will have the opportunity to support a dynamic team of 200 associates across Sea-Bird Scientific, while also leading and mentoring one direct report.  You will report directly to the Sea-Bird president and partners with the president and senior leadership team (L1 team) in driving strategic business decisions and providing leadership on people related solutions such as organization assessment & design, talent planning, associate engagement/retention, DE&I, and culture. 

Through the use of our Veralto Enterprise System (VES), the HR Leader will drive excellence and value through the appropriate and consistent use of VES tools, leading to a highly motivated, productive, and engaged workforce. Your Responsibilities

We will rely on you to focus your efforts in the following primary areas:

Strategic Planning & Execution

Leverage data and VOC to identify the most pressing OpCo opportunities and challenges.Develop the OpCo talent and organization in line with the business strategy, Veralto HR priorities and programs.  Drive the execution of closing any of the identified gaps using applicable VES tools.Drive daily management and a continuous improvement mindset.Serve as the change lead for the organization.

Talent Developer

Lead the Veralto organization and talent processes within Sea-Bird.  You will: thoroughly know the talent, advocate, and champion talent moves, support the development of future leaders, cultivate, and attract external candidates.Cultivate and develop the HR team enabling strong business performance.

Consultant & Coach

Based on the deep understanding of the business (including talent and org. priorities), provide strategic counsel to the president and the L1 team.Ensure compliance with employee related local law, HR & Company policies. Champion Veralto/Sea-Bird culture and set the tone to foster positive associate relations.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred15 years of HR leadership experience in relevant industries (R&D, manufacturing) supporting multiple functions across varying levelsDemonstrated success working as a trusted advisor and influencer who can convey complex concepts, provide clear advice and stand firm in the face of challenge to persuade the right, sometimes tough decisions.Build high performing, diverse, inclusive, and engaged teams that are aligned to the business priorities. Track record of developing talent to ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders.Proven strengths leading functional strategies to support organizational restructuring

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $190,000 - $235,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
