The Tempo New York Times Square is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team.

Designed by WATG and Mancini Duffy, this stunning property will feature 661 rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering views of the city and lights of Times Square. The sky lobby, located on the 11th floor, includes communal working spaces as well as a fitness centre and hydration station. Dining venues will comprise a restaurant with menu items “fit for fueling for the day ahead”, a bar and lounge offering small plates with craft beverages, and an outdoor dining terrace overlooking Times Square.
\nThe ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, and experience working in the service industry.

What will I be doing?
As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting and administering various HR functions while delivering exceptional service to internal team members and external guests.
\n
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\n\nServing as the first point of contact for the Human Resources department, directing inquiries and connecting team members with the appropriate resources.\nAssisting with recruitment, interviews and hiring processes, including communication, scheduling, calendar management, recordkeeping, and onboarding.\nManaging data entry and maintenance within the HRIS system, recording employment transitions (e.g., hires wages adjustments, position changes, leaves of absence, and separations), generating reports, assisting with payroll, and troubleshooting issues as needed.\nOrganizing and overseeing team member engagement programs, events, and initiatives such as holiday celebrations, recognition programs, special events and community outreach.\nHandling purchasing needs for the HR department and associated events, ensuring cost-effective acquisition of materials and services, and tracking budget expenditures. \nMaintaining and updating HR forms, policies, and internal communication materials (e.g., bulletins, flyers, and calendars).\nAssisting with training and development initiatives.\nConducting audits as needed.\nSupporting administrative processes related to contract compliance, worker's compensation, leaves of absence, safety, and regulatory compliance.\nEnsuring adherence to Affirmative Action Plan and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines and regulations.\n\n#LI-LG1
