Job Description

The HR Business Partner serves as a consultant to business leaders and employees on all human resources related activity such as workplace culture, engagement, talent acquisition, performance management, change management, employee relations, compensation philosophy and execution, employee learning, and development priorities in support of business strategy.

Accountabilities:

Build relationships and partner with the business to understand the business strategy and to deliver appropriate, timely and high-quality HR solutions

Educate and coach employees and managers on core HR processes including (but not limited to) Talent Management, Development and Performance Management, Salary Review, Short-/Long Term Incentive

Leverage knowledge of HR and business practices in order to influence the best outcomes for the organization.

Collaborate with human resource “centers of excellence” (i.e. Compensation, Talent Acquisition, People Advisory, People Resources, Payroll, etc.) as needed.

Execute on strategy for employee engagement and culture.

Drive the utilization of performance management tools within the company and participate in talent review and succession planning initiatives.

Coach managers and employees to fully leverage performance feedback and coaching to drive improved results

Provide advice to managers in line with local employment legislation and work with them on employee relations issues as required

Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to drive associated hiring activity to ensure a strong talent pipeline for all assigned business units/ functions

Liaise between managers and Talent Acquisition to support managers with ongoing recruitment and selection strategies

Support employee development and career progression

Prepare and deliver reporting and presentations.

Participate in HR projects and/or company-wide initiatives as assigned

Develop and maintain HR tools, templates, process documentation, and policies

Education and Experience:

Relevant post-secondary degree

Minimum of CHRP designation or other equivalent certified HR related designation

Minimum of 3-5 years in a progress generalist HR role and/or HR Business Partner experience ideally in a global company

Previous industry related experience a strong asset

Broad experience in the entire employee life cycle as per relevant employment regulations (from recruitment to exit management, line management and employee consultation, labour law, compensation & benefits, performance management, talent development, etc.)

Strong working knowledge of Employment Laws and Regulations required; interpret employment laws into pragmatic solutions and navigate line management through its complexities

Experience with Workday preferred

Proficient in MSOffice applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Digitally savvy and early adopter of digital platforms.

Travel up 10%
