Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Human Resources Business Partner to join our team! The Human Resources Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that will function as an influential business partner, collaborating closely with business leaders, managers and the HR team to align strategic priorities and business needs. This is a key position that will collaborate with internal partners and business leadership to identify, develop, and execute solutions in the full spectrum of human resources disciplines to promote a culture of high performance, strong engagement and consistent growth.
This position will be based in Herndon, VA with a hybrid/remote work schedule and include local travel to various sites in MD/VA to support employee and manager engagement.
What You'll Be Doing:
Be a confident and trusted partner to leadership teams in a geographically disbursed organization, as they work with multiple government customersProactively look for ways to improve the function’s effectiveness and enhance organizational impactCoach business leaders and managers on all stages of performance management, compensation practices, 1:1 communications, retention, and goal settingManage and resolve complex employee relations concerns, with empathy, objectivity, and a thoroughness that lead to thoughtful recommendations and solutionsLead with data and analytics to drive business insights and help inform decision makingProvide guidance and input on business unit restructures, talent development and succession planningManage large company-wide initiatives for your business units (e.g., merit planning, goal setting, organizational changes – any number of varying initiatives through-out the year)Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to provide seamless HR support and guidance to the businessWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:
A bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMore than eight years of progressive HR experience that include compensation, employee relations, performance management, and retention strategiesExcel in communication, written and verbal, difficult conversations and problem solvingAbility to prioritize, quickly shift gears and be resourceful (but not without genuine and on-going support!)A track record of establishing strong and productive partnerships with all levels of employees and managers; trusted advisorBusiness acumen, critical thinking and results orientedProven ability to deliver results and maintain a high level of service satisfactionExperience in government contractingAdvanced knowledge and utilization of Microsoft 365: Excel, Outlook, Word and Power Point
